Andrew Weatherall, born in 1963 in Windsor, is considered one of the most influential producers, remixers and DJs of the 90s club scene in the UK. He started out as a freelance music journalist, before his DJ career took off after befriending house DJ Danny Rampling at a party. The two started playing together, and quickly became a highly sought after duo. This led to Weatherall meeting Paul Oakenfold, who gave him his first studio experience remixing The Happy Mondays’ «Hallelujah». Weatherall’s big commercial break came with producing Primal Scream’s breakthrough album «Screamadelica», released in 1991. Afterwards he went on to produce and remix big artists like New Order, Björk, Saint Etienne, Fuck Buttons, and The Orb–as well as releasing music under his own name, Two Lone Swordsmen, The Sabre Club and more.
